Click the atomic regions to select them, then the selection is merged
into a single shape (its outline is drawn in dark blue). This mirrors the
“shape builder” tool found in vector editors:
PathBoolean.getFaces() lists the regions and
PathBoolean.buildShape([…]) merges a chosen subset.
